With humble beginnings within the quaint neighbourhood of Sunset Way, the business opened doors to its second outlet at The Sail Marina Bay and third at West Coast. The gelato business is continuously inspired with ever-growing endeavours to bring people together with good food, quality ice cream and coffee. We sat with Xavier and Milies to know more. What is the atmosphere at Burnt Cones? “Our interiors has always been clean, white walls and all. We want people to come in and focus on the quality food and good company”. Upon discovering Burnt Cones along the busy streets of Singapore, the sight of eye-catching Italian gelatos will catch your eye as the unique aroma of apple wood chips smoked waffles fill the air. “Every outlet is a milestone for us, we are happy to have worked many years with our staff. We are just like a family.” The friendly setting of Burnt Cones outlets welcomes anyone who chances across or visits. Be it families who stop by for an exclusive midday brunch and dessert, or groups of friends that stay till closing. How did the name “Burnt Cones” come about? “The signature story of how our Burnt Cones came about was through an accidental R&D testing, we coincidentally burnt the gelato cones and it tasted really really good”. Xavier and Miles reminisced the yearly achievements of their business; through continual testing, speaking with locals and a spark of creativity, they brought life to the dessert plate with their one of a kind bitter-sweet taste combination of bitter burnt cones/smoked waffles and sweet Italian gelatos. Walking through the doors of Trent Global, students are able to meet individuals of all backgrounds. Focused on the institute’s twin engines of Technology and Built Environment, every student comes with a set of goals and leaves with success. ” About one-third of the tech and building industry has passed through our doors”.
